Having sold parts of the old Alpine Agriculture business, I would like to introduce you to a new name which is SmittyTech. This is to enable the old Alpine Ag IT clients from the last 15 years to still have access to database application support. I intend to personally continue to service those IT clients built up during the existence of Alpine Agriculture Ltd.

Weather Data
In recent years I got involved in supplying and servicing data loggers in Vineyards. I still have hobo loggers available for anyone that might like to profile a prospective site. The weather page on this site is supplied with data from a weather station on the roof of our home in Clyde NZ.
IT packing Shed Logistics
Over the years I helped a number of Orchard clients with dispatch and logistics solutions. In the past I used MS Access as it was present on clients computers. There are now many different techniques available for clients to achieve good database driven applications. Please dont hesitate to contact me for any help.
The current project being worked on is a router based weather station server. Future projects planned include Wireless irrigation controller based on linux based embeded systems.

With a long association, passion and interest in open source software, in particular SuSE Linux and its modern open source version, openSuSE, I have implemented a number of solutions.
