Having sold parts of the old Alpine Agriculture business, I would like to introduce you to a new name which is SmittyTech. This is to enable my IT clients from the last 15 years to still have access to the database application support. I intend to continue to service the IT clients built up during the existence of Alpine Agriculture. Weather Data
In recent years I have become involved in supplying and servicing data loggers in Vineyards. The weather page on this site is supplied with data from a weather station on the roof of our office in Clyde NZ.
IT packing Shed Logistics
I have developed a number of dispatch logistics solutions for clients over the years. In the past I used MS Access as it was present in our clients IT environment. With the advent of web enabled applications, there are now many different techniques available for clients to achieve good database driven applications.The current project being worked on is a router based weather station server. Future projects planned include Wireless irrigation controller based on router systems.

With a long association, passion and interest in open source software, in particular SuSE Linux and its modern open source version, openSuSE, I have implemented a number of solutions.
